i was going throught the photos on my hard drive. i unearthed this one from sept. i still think this is AMAZING!!!! (remember this is sand!!!)....and i do love the subject matter also. its nice to have a visible reminder that our Lord holds us in the palm of his hand!

so am i the only person who REALLY enjoys watching E! news? yeah i do....guilty pleasure? i suppose.
has anyone seen "Mama Mia!"? i just saw the commerical...and it looks like it could go either way. It DOES have Pierce Brosnan in it...and as long as we don't see to much of his ape man hairy chest...that MIGHT make it worthwhile. i apparently have a thing for all the OLD actors!! i would much rather watch Pierce Brosnan, Sean Connery, or Tom Cruise...(as long as no hairy "apeman" chest are present- grosses me out) rather than most of the new goobers out there.
speaking of: does ANYONE think chest hair is appealing?
annie, do you workout to Katy Perry songs? or do you just stick with Britney? i was just wondering...she is on TV and one of her songs popped into my head...they ARE catchy.
i mis-type "just" almost EVERY single time i type it...and then have to re-type it!!! arugh!!!
i think our house is the ONLY house in the country that will not be tuned into the super bowl on sunday (is that when it comes on?)...i was at the store today and there were an unusual number of men there....as i noticed this...i also noticed they had a common itme in their buggies....can you guess?? yeah beer!!! then it dawned on me...about the game on sunday.....i only know that the steelers are playing....don't really care.....i know i am in the minority here.

my sweet little MAC waits EVERY day for his daddy to return from work. the following photos will tell you why!!! haha!!! this is pretty much a nightly thing at our house- its called "playing rough" ( keep in mind he is running, full tilt, from the front door- about 25 ft away!!!)

MAC's new thing is is to ask if he can watch the shows/movies that the commercials on tv are advertising. EVERY commercial he sees!! so today there was a commercial for some "wrestling"
show....
MAC: "mom, can i watch that??"
Me: "No"
MAC:"why not? is it scary?"
Me: "no, it's just...stupid." (sorry, to all of you wwe fans out there!)
MAC: "oooh, okay. and you don't want me to be stupid?"
Me: "yeah that's it"

not much to report....just wanted to post some (somewhat) recent photos. i'm just delaying cooking dinner (and anything else that would be considered productive)...so hear goes.....

i have some more to post...but i have to get them from my camera first.....hope you enjoyed!i only THOUGHT i was getting back to normal! i have been concerned for the past 3 days. i couldn't find the netflix movie i need to return...now i wasn't pulling things out of the nooks and crannies, mind you...but it was niggling away in my brain....however, i justt received an email saying they received it!! they also mentioned that my next one will arrive soon- i'm a dweeb!

it is nice and quiet at the moment. overall life is peaceful and going well. we are really enjoying VA. of course, we REALLY miss our family and friends (really REALLY)....but it is good to know this is where we are supposed to be. i'm looking forward to exploring the nature and history of the surrounding areas VERY soon.
TC's job is going great! he really likes MOST of the people he is working with...and is finally getting the respect he has deserved for doing his job well. This job could end up being HUGE in the next year. without boring you with a bunch of details that most wouldn't undrstand. the "team" he is on is being considered the "experts" - by the US NAVY- for what they do. their potential work load has at least tripled and in the next couple of months he will, most likely, move into a "senior" position which equals more $$$$$. so that is such a blessing. not to mention he is home EVERY NIGHT. i don't even feel like we need date nights anymore....we actually get to sit and eat dinner- as a family. And TC and I actually get to talk afterwards!!! how refreshing. such a change from the past 3 1/2 yrs!
sweet baby J is snoozing on the sofa- his favorite place to sleep...i think it is the TV that he likes. he slept from 11-4 last night!!! wooo-hooo!!! it took an hour to get him to sleep (i started at 10) and then @ 4 he fidgeted until 5...daddy was super thrilled with that- since his alarm went off a few minutes later. :( hopefully we will get on a definite schedule soon.....we are getting close...but not quite there. overall he is such a good baby. he really only cries when hungry....which happens to be most of the time- haha!! he eats about 6 oz!!!! every 3 hours!!! he is HUGE!!!! J is wearing 3-6 mo. sleepers. he's not even 2 mo. old people!!!! now they are a LITTLE long, like they fit when i first put them on but they stretch out and his feet come out of the foot part.... but he is filling them out otherwise- OY!!!
MAC is upstairs watching Wall-E....a Christmas gift from his dear little friend M. He was SOOOOO excited to get it in the mail today. he was almost as excited about the photo she sent! he immediately went and put it on the fridge in the magnetic photo frame that publix sent- hhah! he misses her. but watching Wall-E is making up for it at the moment! unfortunately i have YET to figure out how to get 2 kids (one that is in a punkin seat) and 4 packages into the post office. so the few christmas gifts that we were going to mail....have not been mailed...soon though. i am beginning to think about beginning some "school" with MAC. he actually asked me when i was going to teach him to read!!! YAY!!! hopefully we can begin soon...and since he is interested it will be a fun and fast process. will be interesting....eitherway i will DEFINITELY have to start in the fall- since the compulsory age in VA is 5!!!! i just can't imagine sending him OFF to school that young!!! i know there are a lot of you guys who do it....and of course sending him to a publc school would be different...i can't imagine putting him a on a bus!!! he is getting big and all...but he is still my baby!!!! ha!!
alright, i have rambled enough. can you tell my brain is begging to function again- well somewhat. i'm not quite back to normal- i don't think it'll ever happen...but i am getting there!!!! i feel like i was in a fog for the past year!! we will see. i'm going to try to post the photos....cross your fingers! yeah...no luck.....maybe tomorrow?
i can NOT believe that Christmas AND New Years have come and gone...and i am jsut now sitting down to post!! augh!!
the past few weeks have been a bit of a blur....but in a good way. :) Baby J is finally settling into a slight routine....and i am coming out of my fog.....sort of!
