"baby borrowers"

okay, PLEASE, someone else say they saw this tv show on last night??? you guys this was the funniest reality show i have seen!!! tad and i ROARED laughing!!!!
the premis:
they take four teenage couples who apparently THINK they are mature enough to handle the responsibilities of parenthood. are you laughing yet? well they put them in these BEAUTIFUL townhomes for the night. the next morning there is a package. what is IN thepackage you ask?
A PREGNANCY SUIT!!!! (aka FAT SUIT) so the girls are expected to wear it for the day- oooh that tought huh? one day of pregnancy. although it would be a shock to the system to go from a pretty little size 2 to 9 months preggers in 10 minutes!!! 3 of the 4 girls were fine- one girls boyfriend laughed when she pulled the thing OUT OF THE BOX and she freaked out!!!! refused to leave the house. such a drama queen. they put together the nursery. they have to sleep in the preggers suit, etc. the next day the FUN really starts. the ababies arrived!!! ROFL!! at least these kids got a manual with theirs!!! mine sure didn't come with one. so they have to go to the store and get all the junk. one guy gets home and the girl goes "where have YOU been!!!" they kid is screaming cuz it hungry!! ROFL!!! so true to life! they have to feed them, change them....then bedtime comes. ALL the babies are screaming. THAT is where they cut it for next week! tad and i were like...oh we are watching next week!!
now i was asking myself "what kind of parents would volunteer their kid for this?!" but one couple said that they felt it was an important lesson for the kids to learn. the kids are "shadowed" by professional nannies the whole time. and the parents watch from houses accross the street. as a matter of fact they can intervein whenever they feel neccessary. one mom got a little put out at bedtime when the boyfriend kept referring to her daughter as "it". you guys just have to watch!!!! wednesday 8/7c on one of the major networks ABC, NBC, or CBS...i don't recall!!! anyway, i just thought this was too funny a show not to share!!!!

we are moving

it is official. we will be leaving for (get ready for this) virginia beach- in JULY!!!!!! AUGH!!!!
TC accepted the job offer today! we are so excited, intimidated, peaceful, scared, etc., all at the same time!!! this will probably be a shock to some of you guys...and not to others. But we know that it is a God thing. we have wanted to leave town for a while. after we got married, we never thought we would be here this long. it is OBVIOUSLY GOD!!!! we have been praying for weeks that whatever doors were supposed to open would- and others would close.
well the past two months TC's job has been a little up in the air- since he has been full-time Army reserve for the past 3 yrs he has to re-moblize every 12-18 months. this time last week there was a possibility that they would re-mob him 6 MONTHS from the end of july- so he had been looking for a job for the interem....and possibly beyond. friday he came in and asked me how pissed i would be if they re-mobilized him for 2 yrs (meaning we stay here)....i was a 7-8....we just kept praying the same thing. mondya they had a metting and told him he would NOT be mobilized- door #1 CLOSED!!!
today he was supposed to meet a guy for an interview in huntsville- they guy NEVER called him to meet. fortunately we had decided to make a day of it and visited my Aunt. Door#2 SLAMMED!!! haa!
at about 330 we had decided that it was time to head back home and tads phone rang.....it was the company he had interviewed with 2 wks ago telling him that he had the job, here's the pay, etc. when can you start? he accepted and he starts july 14!!!! i'm just laughing!!! its just God- he is so faithful!!!
So...i know it is sort of sad. i'm sad...i have lived here all my life. and i will certainly miss all of my sweet friends....the last 4 yrs of mommy-dom wouldn't have been the sme with out you gals.....and of course my family. but look at the bright side- if have an extra $7,000,000 to fill up the gas tank and drive to virginia beach.....you have a place to stay!!! anytime!! i do love you guys! i'm prepared for the masses of email/ comments....bring it on!!!! haha!

RESULTS!

i thought i had already posted the results of my "draino test"....but apparently not.
my test indicates girl- so we will see if all the indicators are correct. i return to the doctor on 7/10 to find out for sure....until then i suppose i need to keep the receipts!!! haha!

The Draino Test

alright, so a dear friend told me about this home test to determine the sex of your baby. now of course i doubt that it is 100% correct- 100% of the time. However, this friend has 5 nieces and nephews and one of her own. each time they have performed the "test" it has been correct. since the ultrasound tech could only go 70%-30% on the sex of the baby- we thought we'd give it a whirl. just for fun.
very simple test:
1) go tinkle in a cup- obviously something you aren't going to re-use and it helps if its clear.
2) GO OUTSIDE!!!
3) put 2-3 tsp of Draino CRYSTALS into the cup.
4) WALK AWAY!
5) leave it for 10-15 minutes.
6) go back and look at the liquid.
brown= girl blue-green=boy
****don't look at the bubbles- they are ALWAYS blue-green.
7) promptly dispose of the evidence- unles you enjoy noxious fumes eminating around your entire yard!!!!

PHSYCHE!!!

yeah well...i know that EVERYONE is anxious to know if Sprout will be wearing pink or blue...but it looks like we will have to wait a few more weeks!!! BOOOOOO!!! my dr. doesn't usually do THE ultrasound till 20 wks...and they just had me on the schedule by accident. BOOO!!!! my dr. was just going to check for the heartbeat...but when i pouted (and told him they told me i would have an ultrasound) he literally went over my stomach 2 times and said " well, i just cant pick up the heartbeat...i guess we will have to do an ultrasound!!" haha!!! he decided that i had told Sprout to be as quiet as possible so we would have to do one! haha!! i really like my dr.

they did an ultrasound. HOWEVER, she could not determine anything definite. we could see "IT" but it was too small to tell for SURE. she really tried!! then by the time i asked to see if we could get a photo of the face...Sprout REALLY wasn't cooperative and turned its backside to the camera!!! just like its brother and father!! OY!!! but we got to see his/her little brain (so amazing) and arms,hands, feet, knees and backside!!! we will see!!! now we are just trying to decide on definite names. cant be Sprout for the next 90 yrs!!! well, i am off to do the Draino test!!!!

alrighty people! the day that everyone has been asking me about for 16 weeks has almost arrived.

i called my OB to see when they perform THE ultrasound. well apparently i am on the schedule for tomorrow!!! YAY!!!!!!! so everyone can submit their "leading" if you so desire!! haha!!! i will post ASAP- so everyone can let out the breath they have been holding!!

of course, i suppose there is always the chance that Sprout wont co-operate...that would be sad. but if we find out....you ill be the first to know!!! haha!!!

OH and i found a 3-D sonogram of MAC...so for all of you who have stated that you think Sprout has MAC's nose....here is proof!!! enjoy!

Funny boy!!

so i am realizing that i will not be able to take my sone shopping with me for very much longer....the final straw you ask?? today i decided to stop at Kohl's for some Fathers' Day shopping (he's getting clothes)...so we have breezed through the ladies sections of the store looking for the maternity section (i HAD to look!) so i stopped to look at a few of the shirts....the following conversation then took place:
MAC: Mom what are those?? (pointing to the huge display of BRAS and underwear)
ME: ummm...that is ladies underwear. (trying to be tactful since there was a employee restocking the area about 3 ft away)
MAC: what is it?
ME: LAdies underwear.
MAC: No it's not underwear.
ME: yes it is
MAC: No MOM its what you put your boobies in!
ME THINKING: (oh dear lord!!!! he IS correct....how embarrasing....WALK AWAY!!!)
as i pass the employee i look over my shoulder and she is barely containing her laughter....she looks at us and i just say...." i guess he won't be able to come shopping with me for much longer ,huh?"
children they are brutal!!!!

brief update

i know its been almost 3 wks since i posted an update!!! sorry!!
things have been crazy around here. i have a TON of photos that i want to post! however, it is really a pain to get them lined up all nice and neatly one here :( so it takes time.

the hubby has been home for over a week now (its so wonderful!) and we have been busy around the house! well, HE has been busy outside the house- the inside? enh well thats another story.
MAC and i have actually had some fun "school days" this week. i know its summer....but i HAVE to get into some sort of routine now or it won't happen until NEXT fall!!! we are working on frogs this week!!! its been fun!
baby sprout is continuing to grow! i am feeling occasional movements (that are definitely NOT digestive) i was 14 wks sat. (just incase you were wondering). we return on the 12th for 16 wk checkup....maybe we'll find out the sex? but i doubt it.
hubby is looking for a new job...it could VERY interesting before the end of the year in our household. we are just praying the doors will open to WHEREVER we are supposed to be...that it will be EASY.....just to prepare you it doesn't look like it will be around here. but we are unsure where exactly WHERE we will end up!! exciting and intimidating at the same time.
anyway...i hope (as always) that i will get some photos posted in the next couple of days.
